AC charger FAQ.

What is the difference between a 3.3kW and a 7.4kW home AC charger?
Both are single-phase wall-boxes. The MC-A033 (3.3kW) draws 16A and takes about 12 hours for a 40kWh battery — fine for overnight charging. The MC-A07S (7.4kW) draws 32A and cuts that to around 6 hours. Choose 3.3kW if your apartment allows only a 16A dedicated circuit; choose 7.4kW if you want a full top-up before midnight.
Do I need a 3-phase supply for an 11kW or 22kW AC charger?
Yes. The MC-A11P (11kW) and MC-A22T / MC-A22D (22kW) all require a 3-phase supply. Single-phase buildings are limited to 7.4kW. Most standalone offices, commercial buildings, and newer residential societies already have 3-phase supply at the meter — confirm with your discom before ordering.
What is Bharat AC-001 and which vehicles support it?
Bharat AC-001 is an Indian government standard connector designed for fleet use, particularly three-wheelers and small commercial EVs. The MC-BA12 uses this standard. It is not compatible with passenger EVs that use Type 2 — match the connector to your vehicle's onboard inlet before purchasing.
How long does a home AC EV charger installation take?
Massive completes home installations in a single visit. A site survey is scheduled within 48 hours of purchase; the engineer then wall-mounts the unit, wires the MCB and RCCB, installs a dedicated earth pit if needed, and commissions the charger on the app — typically 2–4 hours on site. You receive a signed install certificate for your society or discom the same day.
What warranty and support does Massive offer on AC chargers?
