FAQ

Questions about DC fast chargers.

Power, connectors, site fit — the ones buyers ask most.

What's the difference between a 30kW and a 120kW DC charger?add
Power output determines charge speed and site fit. A 30kW unit suits neighbourhood and commercial destination sites with 30–80 min dwell time. A 120kW unit suits urban fast-charge hubs and cab fleets needing a 15–25 min top-up, and typically needs 250–400kVA feeder capacity.
What's the difference between CCS2 and Bharat DC?add
CCS2 is the connector standard used by most EVs sold in India today (Tata, MG, Hyundai, BYD, Mahindra, and others). Bharat DC-001 is a lower-power standard aimed at 3-wheeler and fleet applications — the MC-B025 model is built specifically for this segment.
Are Massive DC chargers OCPP 2.0.1 compliant?add
Yes. All models are OCPP 2.0.1 native, with select models (MC-D180, MC-D240) also supporting ISO 15118 for Plug & Charge.
Will a Massive DC charger work with my EV?add
Every production EV sold in India charges on CCS2, Bharat DC, or CHAdeMO — all supported across the Massive DC range. Check the vehicle compatibility table above for your model's specific max charge rate per charger.
How do I choose the right model for my site?add
It depends on feeder capacity, expected dwell time, and vehicle mix — see the "Which model for which site" guide above for quick rules of thumb, or talk to a Massive sales engineer, who verifies load and feeder capacity before any order.
