Type 6 · Portable · Single-phase

The lightweight 2W connector.

Single-phase AC, up to 3.3kW. Designed for wall-mount or pedestal deployment at apartment basements, office parking, and last-mile hubs. Plug is compact — fits the standard charging port on Ola, Ather, TVS, Bajaj, and most Indian 2W OEMs.

High-density deployment

80 charge points. One 400kVA feeder. Zero trips.

×2.4
more vehicles charged per night than naive deployment

The biggest challenge in 2W/3W charging isn't the charger — it's the feeder. Last-mile depots in Indian cities operate on constrained commercial feeders, often shared with other tenants. Gridwatch load-manages across every socket, staggering sessions so you charge the entire fleet overnight without exceeding sanctioned load.

Example: A delivery company with 120 electric scooters and a 200kVA shared feeder. Naive charging (all plugged in at shift-end) demands 400kW — instant trip. With Gridwatch, vehicles are queued by departure time, throttled intelligently, and the feeder never crosses 180kW. Every scooter leaves at 100% by 6 AM.

FAQ

Questions 2W/3W operators ask.

Pulled from real deployments across auto-stands, depots and residential.

What's the difference between Type 6 and Type 7?add
Type 6 is a single-phase AC connector for two-wheelers (up to 3.3kW). Type 7 is a three-phase AC connector for three-wheelers and high-capacity two-wheelers (up to 12kW). Both are defined under BIS IS 17017.
Can I mix Type 6 and Type 7 on the same site?add
Yes. Gridwatch manages both connector types on a shared feeder. Many fleet operators run a mix of 2W and 3W vehicles from the same depot.
Do these chargers work with the Massive app?add
Yes. Drivers find Type 6 and Type 7 chargers on the same map, start sessions via QR or app, and pay with UPI. Same experience as DC fast chargers.
What about battery swapping?add
We support swap-and-charge deployment models where swap cabinets are paired with our Type 6/7 chargers for battery replenishment. The CMS tracks both swap inventory and direct-charge sessions.
Are these BIS-certified?add
Yes. All models are BIS IS 17017-compliant and carry the standard mark. Electrical safety testing per IS 13252.

Charge the fleet that moves India's last mile.

From a single wall-box in an apartment basement to a 200-vehicle depot running on shift cycles — we build the charger, the software, and the schedule.
